This morning was a significant one for Forged by Valor as we welcomed veteran reporter Chris Lopez to our welding school. He got a firsthand look at how we're equipping veterans with in-demand skills for rewarding careers in the skilled trades.
The news coverage showcased our students learning the three main welding processes: GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding). These are fundamental techniques that open doors to a wide range of industries.
During the segments, we also discussed the type of applicant who thrives at Forged by Valor: hardworking, dedicated individuals who enjoy working with their hands and are self-starters. Interestingly, these are qualities that many veterans already possess, making welding a natural and successful transition for those leaving military service.
