Ben's journey began with a proud family tradition of military service.  Following in their footsteps, he enlisted in the Marines Corps at 18, specializing in aviation weapons systems. This experience instilled in him the meticulous attention to detail that is crucial in both combat and the demanding world of welding inspection.

Ben's thirst for knowledge extends beyond the technical.  After his service, he pursued a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, demonstrating a keen intellect and a desire for a deeper understanding of the world.  This intellectual curiosity is balanced by a strong aptitude for practical application.   His strategic decision to complement his academic background with a welding certification showcases his ability to bridge theory and practice.

Ben's welding expertise is undeniable.  Holding certifications as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and an ASNT Level 3 Examiner in Visual Testing, he possesses a deep understanding of welding procedures and quality standards.  His experience spans across various companies, where he not only excelled in welding itself but also rose to leadership positions managing internal welding programs.  This leadership experience allows him to effectively mentor and guide aspiring welders.

Ben's ability to handle a wide range of materials, from common steels to exotic alloys like Inconel and Hastelloy, positions him  at the forefront of welding expertise.  He thrives in challenging environments, a quality honed through his military service and a perfect fit for the demanding nature of the welding profession.  His unwavering work ethic ensures that he approaches every task with dedication and a commitment to excellence.
